That is indeed what I hoped. Perhaps in due time, but right now the chance seems minimal at best.

There's not much hope in this case I'm afraid. Silverstone doesn't even have much respect towards his own political body: the Council of Trith. He calls it "a book club". There's little hope that he'll ever respect neutrals, or any human being for that matter. But still... trying is a noble thing to do and I'm impressed by what you did, Dark. Maybe, if we put some faces behind what he knows as "those neuts" he'll change his ways eventually.

Recently, I got shot in Tir city by none other than Silverstone. I decided to have him followed, and contacted him as soon as my informant told me he was available.

Here is the conversation that ensued.

To [Silverstone]: My informant tells me you are currently not at work. I would like to have a word with you.
[Silverstone]: Im at The book club at the moment so it will have to wait if you want to meet me face to face
To [Silverstone]: Oh I certainly don't! You killed me last time we did!
[Silverstone]: Fair enough. what is it you want then?
To [Silverstone]: I want to talk about your position towards neutral citizens. Why is it you kill people that have nothing to do with this conflict?
[Silverstone]: *raises an eyebrow* Useless fencesitting scum have nothing to do in my city.
To [Silverstone]: You call us scum, I call us cautious
To [Silverstone]: We do not all feel like dying for a cause we don't fully support
[Silverstone]: Exactly, the neutrals dont support what might give them their land back
To [Silverstone]: But who is to say it is ours? Who is to say it is theirs? In my opinion, that's sheer arrogance
[Silverstone]: The clanners work to get what land they took forcefully from us, killed and murdered ur men for their own gain!
To [Silverstone]: Don't get me wrong, I am not supporting omni-tek here, but what makes you think you can 'claim' land? (or they for that matter) Do not animals and plants have equal rights to live there?
[Silverstone]: Animals and plants, ofcourse! but you dont know who invaded? do you dont know who killed our people to get what they wanted?
To [Silverstone]: As I understand it, both sides have spilt each other's blood
[Silverstone]: So tell me, what is it exactly you want out of this conversation?
To [Silverstone]: I would like you to revise your position towards neutrals
To [Silverstone]: We are not omni-tek employees
[Silverstone]: Then you will fail
To [Silverstone]: We are simply people trying to make a life here without making enemies and getting killed
To [Silverstone]: Please try to understand this.
To [Silverstone]: Or, at least, keep it in mind next time you point a gun at one of us.
[Silverstone]: Then why bother? i have my view of things. you can have yours. as long as you stay neutral fencesitter, then i keep my orders to the men and i use them as target practise
To [Silverstone]: Then one could argue that you are just as bad as omni-tek employees. Would you argue against this?
[Silverstone]: *snorts loudly* we have our ways
To [Silverstone]: Which is exactly what omni-tek has said, albeit with more words
To [Silverstone]: In any case, I am glad that at the very least you are open to conversation. I do not expect you to change your postition overnight, I just ask you to think about it.
[Silverstone]: It wont, have a nice day
To [Silverstone]: You as well, I suppose.

As you can see, there does not seem much chance for improvement, but at least he does not ignore our arguments

I've been working with AOU's Ukblizzard to come up with a Lumen Orien banner for their site... well I say I was working  Roll Eyes , in fact she did pretty much everything, I just talked.

Anyway massive, massive thanks to Ukblizzard for all the work, patience and for the banner itself. Smiley Here is what I think is the finished product:

(( Hey everyone, I would like to introduce myself a little bit. However, I didn't want to reveal too much of my story yet.))

A tiny ray of light came into shabby apartment of Priscus. It distorted the darkness. Priscus felt anxious again as he was back to social life.
"Buildings rising like mountains beyond mountains, vehicles, people...guns. Threat, robbery, violence, war" - he said to himself - "The world hasn't changed a bit during my stay at hospital. Speaking of which..."
Priscus reached his pocket. His hand was grubbing around in the coat for a fair half of minute. His face became pale.
"What the...." He ran to his desk and opened the bottom drawer. There was a document with a big sign saying 'COPY'.
He looked around his room nervously.
"I lost it. I must have lost it. Calm down, Dymek. You were gone for just an hour, not a bit longer. You met those people...Redesine, Vektria...and what was the her name?..ah Darkstabber. It is highly possible that you left the note in Reet's. I have to see one of those people. I have to...now!"
Dymek Priscus left his apartment in hurry. The note he left was a document of top importance.

Anamelle: hi there
Anamelle: Relaxing too?
Darkstabber: yep
Redesine: No. It's too hot
Darkstabber looks at redesine
Darkstabber: says the man who took me to inferno?
Darkstabber grins
Anamelle pours some sake onto the hot coals

Anamelle: To improve the mood
Anamelle winks
Redesine: Penumbra would've been my choice, yes.
Darkstabber chuckles
Anamelle: So, you're saying you're cold blooded like a lizard?
Redesine raises an eyebrow at Ana
Redesine: Wouldn't that mean I prefer the heat?
Darkstabber: That would depend on the type of lizard I guess
Anamelle: I don't know. Aren't lizards cold blooded?
Redesine opens and closes his mouth a couple of times
Anamelle: ...or fish
Darkstabber: ....Fish?
Anamelle giggles
Darkstabber grins

Anamelle: Hope I didn't stun you with my unbreakable logic there, Red...
Redesine: It was quite the unstoppable force, yes.
Anamelle chuckles
Darkstabber: ana 'bulldozer' melle?
Anamelle laughs
Darkstabber grins
Redesine takes of his coat to reveal another coat underneath

Anamelle: That's why you're so hot
Darkstabber stays silent, though with apparent effort
Anamelle: You know this is a sauna, right? No multiple layers of clothes here...
Redesine: Is that a jacket and shirt you're wearing?
Redesine: Or is it painted on?
Anamelle: Nope, just a jacket and I'm not wearing anything underneath that
Anamelle grins
Redesine: How suggestive. I'm not weaing anything underneath all my clothes either.
Darkstabber: Well I am
Anamelle: Not even a snakeskin?
Darkstabber: though you won't be seeing that
Anamelle pokes out tongue
Darkstabber: If you'll excuse me, I'll be right back with something a little lighter
Redesine: Do tattoos count as being worn?
Anamelle: Depends on the tattoo I guess
Darkstabber: There we go
Redesine: Ah, I guess they are worn then
Darkstabber: In a way
Darkstabber: Though when in public I do it like this
Redesine: To stay anonymous? or to freak people out?
Darkstabber: Both, really
Anamelle rolls eyes
Darkstabber: Though it's usually the bodyguards that freak people out
Anamelle: Like you haven't seen people wearing tats only before, Red
Redesine: My eyes are wholly untainted... or were.
Anamelle chuckles
Darkstabber: Hmmm I had an idea
Darkstabber: let's make it even warmer
Darkstabber: On second thought, let's not
Darkstabber: a bonfire might be a bad idea here
Anamelle: You just want Red to strip, admit it, Dark...
Anamelle chuckles
Darkstabber: Well ofcourse!
Redesine grumbles
Darkstabber: Then I can grab his shoulderpads and run off
Redesine: I guess I could strip down to my next coat
Anamelle laughs
Anamelle: Another layer?
Darkstabber laughs
Darkstabber: Something tells me you don't wear that much in inferno
Redesine: Well it's not really a coat...
Redesine: more of a cape
Redesine takes the current coat off
Anamelle: That makes me think that if Red stripped totally we'd not see a solitus but a little leet under all these layers of clothes...
Darkstabber: That's what my uncle told them, they still arrested him for indecent behaviour
Redesine: You'd never know... have I always been a leet in disguise, or am I an imposter?
Anamelle: No idea.
Anamelle shakes her head
Anamelle: Anyway, what was that about the bodyguards? I didn't know you had any, Dark...
Darkstabber: Well yeah, I've had them for some time now
Darkstabber: Family policy now, really
Darkstabber: We got into a spot of bother back at omni-1
Anamelle: Oh?
Darkstabber: Let's just say they're a precaution here, but a neccesity there
Darkstabber mumbles something about parents loaning money from the wrong people
Anamelle: We don't see people with boduguards here usually, since death is not permanent on this planet in most cases.
Anamelle: Unless it's not death you're worried about
Darkstabber: Well we don't know what they might try
Darkstabber: So rather safe than sorry
Anamelle nods
Darkstabber: although, to be honest, they're more of my students than bodyguards really
Darkstabber: They're not used to life here
Anamelle: Students? What do you teach them?
Darkstabber: How to survive, mainly
Darkstabber: How to use the equipment, weapons, nanotechnology, the list goes on
Darkstabber: Basically all the things we learnt when we first arrived here
Darkstabber shakes her head
Redesine: Sounds like you're being protected by... hmm, what's the word?...
Darkstabber: Ah well it's the psychological effect that matters I guess, they do look intimidating
Redesine: Noobs?
Darkstabber: Something like that yes.
Darkstabber: They can hold their own for a bit, but not against the tougher guys out there
Darkstabber: Hell, they haven't even figured out the grid yet!
Redesine: heheh
Darkstabber: But they LOOK tough, and that's what matters
Redesine: guess so
Darkstabber: Thankfully, father is quite wealthy, so he supplied them with their uniforms
Darkstabber: With a few Rubi-Kan modifications, ofcourse
Redesine: Of course.
Darkstabber: Took them some time to learn how to use that tank armour...
Darkstabber: Ah well, they'll learn eventually
Anamelle: Like we all
Darkstabber: In the meantime I'm just hoping that group hasn't got connections with any of the ones here
Redesine: Which group?
Darkstabber: I don't know, to be honest
Darkstabber: Father wouldn't say
Darkstabber: I do know he's got a huge debt with them
Darkstabber: He might be wealthy, but not THAT wealthy
Darkstabber: and ofcourse, he's refusing to pay up
Anamelle: So he borrowed money and refused to pay up?
Darkstabber: Yep
Anamelle: Why?
Darkstabber: Most of it went into companies and so on
Darkstabber: Plus, he thought he could intimidate them by brining in law enforcement
Darkstabber: Turns out he was wrong
Anamelle: But... isn't borrowing money and refusing to pay illegal?
Darkstabber: Yes, but the group he borrowed from isn't exactly legal either
Darkstabber: And so he thought, let's take some cash from them before bringing them down
Darkstabber: But.... well let's say that didn't work out
Anamelle shakes her head
Anamelle: It doesn't sound like your father thought it through very well... I'm sorry it got you in danger.
Darkstabber: I'm starting to fear they're connected to the shadow compendium though...
Darkstabber shrugs
Anamelle: Do you have any evidence of that?
Darkstabber: Evidence, not really
Anamelle: Then I wouldn't worry about it.
Darkstabber: But the whole situation got worse after they got driven out of Newland
Anamelle: They might be connected to any of the criminal groups on Ka really.
Darkstabber: True
Anamelle: There's no need to be paranoid just yet. Just watchful.
Darkstabber: Some would say those two are equal
Anamelle: No, paranoid is when you think everyone is out to get you. Watchful is when you're just cautious.
Darkstabber stays silent, looking thoughtful
Darkstabber: In any case, there haven't been any attacks yet
Darkstabber suddenly looks cheerful again
Anamelle: I don't have my old contacts and I don't really think asking about you would be a good idea anyway. Don't think bringing their attention to you is a good idea. But if I hear anything I'll let you know.
Darkstabber: That would be nice
Redesine: Talking about learning to use back equipment. Did you figure out that jetpack thing yet, Ana?
Darkstabber: Jetpack?
Anamelle: What?
Darkstabber: Oh dear I need to go
Anamelle blinks
Darkstabber: See you all later
Anamelle: See you later.
